He hasnt given any interviews since when... Late 80's early 90's?? I just think its odd that people can say what they want about the guy, and he doesn't try to save face. I think its like anything else, a few ounces of truth to a pound of bullshit... If I were axl rose, I'd tell the record labels to stick their deadlines up their ass too.. Because I can.
Those other two.. Stash, and Dumf, really havent done anything good without axl either. I think their egos are all probably waay bigger than their personnas are.. Like I said, really, the new album is better than anything on use your illusion 1 or 2.. My opinion.
"If the world" is probably the best track on the CD from a musical standpoint. I dig it. As an added little bonus, it would also be a good titty bar song. |

I personally wouldn't rank ANYTHING on the album as being close to the best stuff on the "Illusion" records. The best stuff on "Chinese Democracy" just doesn't even come close to tunes like "Right next Door to Hell", "You Could Be Mine", "Perfect Crime", "Coma", "Civil War", "November Rain" and so on and so forth.
The "Illusion" records are FAR from perfect (I've always felt that 1 solid amazing record could be pulled from the 2 "good" records), but I'd rank them head-and-shoulders above "Chinese Democracy". I wouldn't say that the latter is a bad record (and I didn't in my review of it), it just doesn't have the same attitude and swagger that was represented on the best tunes from their earlier material.
