| So I have a few tattoo designs that I'm planning on getting in the next few months and the first one I wanna get is text in a spiral on my wrist that can be hidden by my watch if I ever need/want to cover it. What I'm wondering though is how long i can expect to have to leave a tattoo like this uncovered and how long before I can wear a watch over it if I want. |

| you can hide them now --with make up !! why would any one want to get a tat you can cover with a watch ! just a waste of money --we like em big here ! |

until it heals. maybe 2 weeks, maybe more. |

because it's meaningful to me and I want the option to cover it if need be. |

I have a ring tattoo on my finger. I also wanted it so that I could cover it up with something... a real ring (so I understand what you are saying).
Trust me when I say that it will still show even if you try to cover it up with a watch. Unless your watch is huge and is so tight that it cuts off the circulation it will slide around and your tattoo will show. |

My first tattoo was a wristband format. As the member above me posted, wearing a watch will not completely hide the tattoo. I had purchased a watch before getting the tattoo in order to be sure it was small enough to be covered by my watch. I had a few of the links in the watchband removed so that the watch would stay in place on my arm as best as possible, but any watch will move around some; the wrist is a very highly articulated area.
That being said, I am a big fan of wrist tattoos. Depending on your circumstances you might consider getting it anyways. If you really need it not to show, I would suggest getting the same band, but placed around either your upper forearm, upper arm, or ankle. Good luck! |

Not gonna happen... will look like a load of crap in no time  Text needs to be large enough to be able to maintain its readability over time. You're not going to fit that on a wrist.
