I started getting tattoos:
I can't remember. I had just always wanted one even though almost no women had tattoos back then (1970). Since then I have gotten many many tattoos. I recently went through almost 2 years of lasering to remove some really badly done or faded tattoos and am now replacing them with tats by better artists.
