I started getting tattoos:
I've always loved tattoos, even though my parents were strictly against them. After my friends turned 18 (they were all a few months older than me), we all started hanging out at the local tattoo parlor and I watched them get tattoos. When I finally turned 18, I got my first -- an eye ball with "Blink and you miss a beat. Keep one of your eyes open at all times." written around it (lyrics from Incubus' song "Consequence"). This past summer, I got my second -- a replica of my favorite drawing by Brandon Boyd.
I started getting piercings:
I actually got my ears pierced when I was a baby...so technically, my parent made me? I actually have a horrible fear of piercing needles. I'd sit through getting four more tattoos before I get another piercing. I've actually had my nose pierced, but I took it out a few months later. |
